This is from the 1840 auction sale of the estate.
Lot 1 is for Hawkley Hall Farm
Lot 2 is Delph House Farm
Lot 3 is Ben Johnson Farm
There was also Lot 4, (not shown) which was for 'the ungotten portion of all those two valuable mines, veins, or beds of coal commonly called the Five-feet Mine and the Four-feet Mine,now being worked annd gotten by Messrs. Jenkinson and Grimshaw.'(the Archive Service)
The map is confusing until you take note of the position of North.
The whole of the estate was bought by Meyrick Bankes.
