Good pic' Derek - I'd forgotten these cottages were there, and I worked at May Mill 'n all !

the old white houses used to be opposite these ,i used to cut through there then over the old brick bridge then turn right to maymill ponds.one of my mates grandparents used to live in one of those cottages till they where ripped down in the mid eighties. the old street light used to light up till the mid nineties down there.there where alot of nice old houses around here especially the old big house back of todds over looking the woods , an old man called colin lived there till about 94/95.

Nice to have news of you. I am fine, thank you, as I hope you are. I have just had to make 2 trips home.. I live in S.E. Spain now.. I suppose I should call that home now, but my heart is always in Wigan. I was surprised that you remembered me.. I left Billinge Road in 1965 and only came back briefly before moving out from Wigan.

Sure, I remember Eileen. Carole moved to Australia with her family last year.

Derek ,have you seen the school photos that Eileen has put on at St Matthews Juniors ?
