See it wer a Mathew Brown pub formerly (Lion Brewery) "Top Beer"

there was a couple of lads moved from Abram named hughes who i believe were regulars in the queens as was the Bank's who also moved from Abram

I RODE PAST THE QUEENS YESTERDAY & FOUND IT HAD CLOSED. IWONDER HOW LONG IT HAS BEEN CLOSED. THE LAST LANDLORD AS FAR HAS I KNOW WAS JOHNNY MEADOWS

My father met my mother in this pub many many years ago.
My dad was Jack Halliwell youngest of four brothers.

I seem to remember a lad called David May, oh, it's going back some years, probably the 1960s, I'm sure he once said that his dad was the landlord there.

Queens has been shut on and off since johnny meadows left. various open it, put food on and then it closes again. I have a picture (i think) of philip may on a school trip to london, so if u see this jackie, ask him did he go? i used to live across from you when i lived nr club in bickershaw lane. was in philips class

we had this pub for seven years best pub we ever had tradgic it is closed great people in bickershaw

Anyone know of any tales about this pub regarding the Bickershaw festival in 72?
