Springfield Park 1904 the final bend in the £100 scratch event, showing the grandstand and I believe in the distance, 1st, 2nd and 3rd Avenue houses as well as what might be the stables, probably with the white door. The value of £100 is in today’s terms well over £10, 000 and could be up to £40, 000 dependant on your inflation calculator. Taken from a 1904 film, Springfield Park was described as one of the countries major Trotting Tracks.

Sorry, I should have said the stables are probably situated at the end of this straight, it's the single storey building with a slate roof. They did have white doors but these are obscured by the second competitor.

The Stables were at the end of Second Ave Keith. The grandstand you can see is the first one which stood in the middle of the car park as most of us will remember. The second grandstand built around 1922 - the one that burnt down - was situated over the running and cyling tracks, inside of the white railings to the left. Both of these grandstands were in existance at the same time certainly up to WW2
