When I was a small kid I used to walk up the left hand side of the bridge then walk accross the very top ( on top of the wall ) and then walk down the left hand side. I thought it was smart Hmmmmmmmm
my uncle joe used to have slaters windows and doors later known as slaters windows and concervatories just up on the right befor this bridge on frog lane ,, but died in 1996 ,,, miss him load his trips to earls court boat show was always a treat for him he lived at westwood hall and his boat is still their made of concrete before that he lived at a hall at the end of wright street platt bridge ,, cant remember what the hall was called,, I know it was burned down and my uncle joe lost his daughter in the fire in the early 80s
Used to live on frog lane number 14, our corner shop can be seen in the middle of the photo,with the red door,the pear tree pub can just be seen on the right,
I lived in Glebe End street number 11. 1961 to 1969,great memories when kids could play out all day
i remember joe slater he put my new windows in when i moved to lower saint stephen street, nice bloke, the land his business was on never got sold and is still up for sale.
