Great to see this photo Allan, I remember the shop you can see as the co-op in the late 50's early 60's
Fantastic photo allan, i can see the house i lived in on rectory rd facing co-op.
Great photo. Not changed a bit but can you imagine children playing on the grass there today?
What a marvellous photo Allan! It really captures the sense of peace and tranquillity of Downall Green in the old days. It's amazing how the view stayed virtually the same right into the 60's and beyond.
great photo allan .iwander when jack pyes shop was opposite.cant see any signs .
My grandparents James and Ethel Lowe kept the shop before Jack Pye and also the British Legion on the Green where the new house are now
my nan and grandad were jack and olive pye who used to run the shop
Does anyone know when the terraced houses opposite the church on Rectory Road were built?
