I am second little girl from the right, Lynne Ashall,Louise Webster,to my right, I can recall the names Aspey and Stokes, the two girls front left but I can not remember their first names. Also on the photo Eileen Lyons. The dresses we wore were white with pink rosebuds.
Another great pic. A very changed area today. I find it very interesting because my Grt Grandfather John Bradshaw, who was killed in the accident at Blundells pit Oct 11th 1877, is buried at St Johns, also his wife Ann who lived on till her 83rd year, she died in 1925.
I remember those terraced house leading down to the church, gone now.
I think it was Church St.
The little girl front right is my niece Susn Taylor now Susan Barton.
ruby shoes, that is exactly as I remember it too. Carol Ashcroft lived at number 2, on the left, if my memory serves me right.!!
my uncle john Kerfoot holding the pole on the right
