This is St George on Caroline Street

This is the presbytyrian chusch in chapel lane across from the baths

Many thanks for this Ron, I have been longing for a picture of this Chapel located a little further along Chapel Lane than Wigan Printing Co which was on the corner of Douglas Street. The school was at the back accessed from Harrogate Street and the school playground from the top of Atherton Street. The church was beautiful inside, wish there was a picture of this.
We had a neighbour that lived in Douglas Street who was a caretaker at the church, he once took us inside and into the cellar where there was a large mahogany case with a series of narrow draws containing a butterfly collection. Often wondered what happened to this when the church was sadly demolished.

Correction, Drawers not Draws. I think that Mahogany Draws would be very hard to pull on!
