over that wall was pear tree and apple tree and this was mr ken long house he was teacher in the shool.

Where am I Elayne?
This was taken in August 1968 when the Beatles released Hey Jude...lovely autumn that...As you can see we've all come a long way since 1965; plenty sixties haircuts knockin' about. I've got my Wolves badge on; stands out a mile. Can't see Porky Davies or Dave Ridyard? Will be back to name the Squad soon...A smilin' Jem Farnworth, second from right, front row, brings a smile to my face...Rum lad Jem....

50 years have passed since this photograph was taken. It was the happiest time of my school life. Great lads, great times...And every time that hear Hey Jude, it brings me back to this late summer in 1968. Blessed.
I was madly in love with a certain Miss Pauline Scroggie at this time. She was in her final year, like all of us on this picture, at St Marks. I married her on June 23rd 2024. Life is full of surprises.
