I'm 9th from the left, back row. Michael Gibbons is 2nd left, back row. 2 from me on right the boy with the French name who hardly ever spoke - Batiste, I think. There were 4 of us who travelled by train - Culcheth to Wigan Central. Me, Michael Gibbons, Michael Bolton, Chris Buxton. I think Michael Bolton became an Woolworths Manager & Michael Gibbons joined the police force. My nickname was "Eggy". I helped in the library for several years under the direction of the English master - Enoch Shaw.
