Can't be as early as 1980 Tom. Phil started as a traction trainee that year, and Rob had'nt even started
looks like the 2 younger ones are on mp12 or type training, ones got a 33056 handout he,s revising or so it appears.that takes me back a bit.

I was made an instructor in 1991
Both Jimmy and Ronnie are happily in retirement. Rob is a Trainer for Northern Rail in the training centre at Bolton. Phil is now an inspector for Network Rail and Malc is the Driver Standards Manager for TPE

Can narrow the date down a bit, it definitely was not taken before 1985 (can tell because of my age in the photo). I was not at Springs Branch between 1985 & 1989, or after 1992. Which narrows it down to sometime between 1989 and 1992. If it was 1989 I was an instructor, if after I was DTM
I remember Jimmy Eccles covering my shunting job at Bredbury Tilcon. One of the wagons de-railed in the unloading boot - phew it could of been me !
