Was this the one that remained 'private', ie not absorbed into the NCB at time of nationalisation?

It was owned by Mr Oliver Rigby of Bilinge untill it closed in the seventies

i worked there straight from school in the office, loads of names and memories if anyone wants to get in touch, Was there when it shut, (names that spring to mind Gordon Winnard david Turner, Paddy Stridgeon, Tommy Turton, Tommy Conroy, Harry Gee, Tommy Smith, Stan Bolton, Barry Ashcroft) I could go on on and on

My father worked at the Arbour from about 1950 before going down to Quaker House colliery just a bit farther down from ARBOUR it was a drift mine privatly owned by DONALD ANDERTON,it was there in1956 one February day my father was involved in a "roof fall" it left him disabled.
