Are you sure it's Gathurst D Tease, this is Gathurst Lane leading to Gathurst, there is a lot of controversy regarding the Navi. Gathurst is reputed to start at the railway bridge. Its 50/50 between Sheviers and nobody who lives in Gathurst.

I think it's Gathurst Lane Shevington.

It says Gathurst on the Pub sign, Roy. Not living local I couldn't be sure. No doubt Alan will put us straight.

The pub is situated between Gathurst canal bridge and Gathurst Station/railway bridge,I think it is safe to say that it is Gathurst.

The River Douglas is the boundary between Shevington and Orrell. Gathurst Lane in Shevington and Gathurst Road in Orrell which meet at the bridge over the Douglas. The area known as Gathurst straddles the boundary and we have Gathurst Station to the south and Gathurst Hall Farm to the north. Both being in Gathurst.

Thought this was now an Italian restaurant and was no longer called The Navigation despite the pub sign..

Looking in an old phone book I've got knocking about, the postal address of the Navvy was 162 Gathurst Ln, Shevington, Wigan WN6 8HZ.
The Douglas is the boundary between Orrell and Shevington.

The Navigation seen here at Gathurst is now an Indian Restaurant called The Baby Elephant.
