Stevie Nimmo
Date: 22nd September 2017
Details:  Stevie Nimmo has been successfully recording and touring for the last two decades.

Born and raised in Glasgow, Scotland there was always music around as Stevie grew up. Stevie never had any guitar or singing lessons but throughout the family there were plenty of people who sang or played some kind of instrument to learn from.

After a diagnosis of cancer in 2009 and subsequent surgery resulting in the loss of his voice for over 2 months, Stevie, now living in France, was forced to ease back on his touring schedule with The Nimmo Brothers spending some months in recovery following this major operation. During this period, focusing on the style of music Stevie listens to ’off the park’, he wrote the songs that now make up The Wynds of Life. For Stevie song writing isn’t something that you plan, it’s something that you need to do. As Stevie says; “When you have that something inside you, that feeling be it happy or sad, you just have to let it out. It’s an extremely emotional process and my only way to do that is through song”.

In January 2010 Stevie recorded his first solo album The Wynds of Life at The Zone recording Studios outside Austin, Texas with an A-list of Austin’s finest musicians. Michael Ramos – Keys, George Reiff – Bass, Lloyd Maines – Steel Guitars, Pat Manske – Drums, and as a special guest guitarist David Lee Holt from Storyville. George, Lloyd and Pat are also featured on the current Courtyard Hounds release.

Fleshed out with pedal steel, banjo, accordion, B3 and Wurlitzer, amongst other instruments, The Wynds of Life falls just as easily under the Americana banner with its roots, country and gospel influences as it does in Stevie’s more familiar blues setting.

Stevie’s second album was released on Manhaton Records on 4th March 2016 and has gone on to garner reviews including ‘Blues album of the Year’

In 2016 Stevie was also nominated at the British Blues Awards for ‘Best Male Vocalist’, ‘Best Guitarist’ and ‘Best Songwriter’ with The Nimmo Brothers nominated in ‘Best Blues Band’

‘Man that guy can sing!’ David Grissom (storyville)

‘Stevie’s voice is at times gritty, other times emotional but all times perfection!’ Maverick magazine

‘Stevie possesses a great depth to his work. He has come through with an album befitting those lending support and that pretty much says it all.’

‘Muscle Shoals at its peak would be proud of having recorded this track!’ Flyinshoes review

Martin Stephenson
Date: 23rd September 2017
Details:  MARTIN STEPHENSON has been one of the UK’s best-loved musicians for 30 years.

New album CALIFORNIA STAR sees him reunited with The Daintees, the band he’s intermittently fronted through a string of albums – and hundreds of gigs – since his teens in the North East.

Always popular on the circuit, Stephenson’s “must see” live performances are an exuberant tour-de-force combining heart-in-your-mouth intimacy with playful humour and warm self-deprecation.

The Daintees’ critically acclaimed 1986 debut BOAT TO BOLIVIA opened up an always interesting story. It showcased Stephenson’s songwriting, poetic romanticism and spiritual depth – so marking him out as a soulful cream of the leftfield crop during the self-obsessed 1980s.

Never pandering to a particular scene, Stephenson’s lightness of touch on a varied mix of musical styles was immediately apparent. His path was destined to be a lifelong journey through the music he loved: folk, ragtime, jazz, rockabilly, show tunes, punk-pop and country.

CALIFORNIA STAR continues his tradition for eclectic roots songwriting, and is the perfect middle-age bookend on a discography now amounting to 40 albums.

Under 18’s must be accompanied by an adult.

Bootleg Blondie
Date: 13th October 2017
Details:  BOOTLEG BLONDIE is the official Debbie Harry & Blondie tribute band and the only Blondie tribute to play the legendary CBGB’s in New York City before its demise in 2006. CBGB’s was the Holy Grail of American Punk and New Wave, where the real Blondie first kicked off their career.

The Bootlegs have played the Isle Of Wight Festival, the 100 Club and the Hammersmith Palais in London, The Electric Ballroom, Eric’s in Liverpool, and have opened up for amongst others The Undertones, Slade, Bad Manners, The Beat, Heaven 17, Toyah, Hazel O’Connor, Tony Hadley and can be seen at all the major venues and festivals around the UK and Europe.

Debbie Harris and the boys have met the REAL Blondie and are officially endorsed by the band. Debbie Harry got in touch in 2006 when she heard we were playing CBGB’s in New York City to wish us good luck with our show and when Clem Burke, Blondie's charismatic drummer, found out that we were making a replica of his Premier drum kit, he arranged for us to meet him to sign our bass drum skin. ‘During the 2010 Blondie tour of the UK we took Clem out for a trip around London in our tour bus, he signed that too!!!!’

In 2014 Clem invited Debbie and Andy to a recording session at the Foo Fighters’ famous 606 Studio in Los Angeles, where they saw Clem and the awesome Neve mixing desk in action!

Debbie and Andy got married in March 2016 and to their great delight received two video clips from both Blondie and Debbie Harry herself congratulating them on their wedding day. What a wedding present!

And probably the best Xmas present in the world ever was in 2016 when Clem Burke came along to a Bootleg Blondie gig and actually got up and played drums on stage with the band. Afterwards he said that watching and playing with Bootleg Blondie was very emotional. We were very touched by his presence!

Debbie Harris, lead vocalist of Bootleg Blondie, has the looks, the voice and the attitude of the original Blondie bombshell and like her heroine is typically outrageous on stage. She has been known to wear dustbin liners, thigh length boots and t.shirts with more holes than t.shirt! Debbie's pride & joy is her guitar which she plays at every show and is signed by all the Blondie members.

Debbie Harris is the niece of the celebrated singer and actress Shani Wallis who played Nancy in Lionel Bart’s musical film 'Oliver'!

‘Good luck with your show!’ DEBBIE HARRY

'Playing with Bootleg Blondie was very emotional' CLEM BURKE

'Hey Debbie and Andy congratulations, rock the house!' DEBBIE HARRY AND BLONDIE
