Gimme Abba - 20th Anniversary Tour
Date: 26th April 2019
Details:  NOT JUST ANOTHER ABBA TRIBUTE

“ABBA have left a fine musical legacy, and it’s in good hands.”

Gimme ABBA have been performing this fabulous tribute for over 19 years, and in 2019 they will be celebrating their 20th anniversary!

After 20 years of performances, Gimme Abba are now established as one of the best loved UK tributes to Abba! This unique stage show has developed over the years into more than just another ABBA tribute show, reproducing the charismatic stage presence of the flamboyant and glam front four.

This complete and superb ABBA show comes with a repertoire that draws from the greatest hits of Sweden’s most famous export. Totalling over two-hours, this performance is jam-packed with all the popular Abba songs and includes fascinating theatrical elements, many costume changes, choreographed dance routines and four-part vocal harmonies that come together to re-create that original ABBA party feel.

“The humour, energy and enjoyment generated on stage delights audiences” and provides a light hearted side to our ever evolving show, without compromising the integrity of the performance. This spectacular show will bring back memories of that golden ABBA era. This is not just another Abba tribute but a ‘truly complete and exciting Abba experience’ so what are you waiting for? Dust off those platforms! Put on those Flares! and come on our nostalgic trip back to the 70s. ‘Coming to a theatre near you’ this is a show not to be missed.

Abba’s music has stood the test of time and is a testament to the exceptional song writing of Benny and Björn, “being able to perform them for you is both a privilege and an honour, and one that we do not take lightly!” – Lawrence, Benny.
Since forming 20 years ago, Gimme ABBA have enjoyed theatre shows, concerts and festivals worldwide with performances in France, Holland, Germany, Cyprus, Malta, Spain, Brazil, Portugal and nationwide in the United Kingdom.

IO Earth
Date: 4th May 2019
Details:  Back by popular demand, presented by The Classic Rock Society

One of the most exciting progressive rock bands on the UK scene at the moment, IO Earth released their debut album back in 2009. Led by the creative axis of Dave Cureton (guitars) and Adam Gough (keyboards), the band have released four albums to increasingly popular acclaim, with second album Moments being followed by the double disc epic New World and finally their latest, the stunning conceptual work Solitude. Capable of shifting from driving, heavy riffs to gentle, reflective passages on the proverbial dime, the band are a model of contrasting delicacy and power.

Always at their best in the live environment, the band are currently fronted by their third singer, Birmingham native Rosanna LeFevre, and are sounding better than ever. The full line-up is Rosanna Lefevre (vocals), Dave Cureton (guitar), Adam Gough (keyboards), Jez King (violin, guitar), Luke Shingler (woodwind), CJ Jerromes (drums) and Christian Nokes (bass). Following on from their Citadel show last September, demand for a return has been overwhelming.

‘Support for this show will come from the highly rated Blackheart Orchestra, who impressed a lot of people as tour support to Hawkwind recently’
