Sari Schorr & The Engine Room
Date: 20th January 2018
Details:  “A Force of Nature” the debut album from one of today’s most exciting blues-rock singers, was produced by the legendary Mike Vernon, whose credits include Fleetwood Mac, The Blues Breakers, Savoy Brown, Chicken Shack, Eric Clapton and Peter Green. In 2015, while in Memphis, Tennessee, to receive The Blues Foundation’s Keeping the Blues Alive Award. Vernon witnessed a performance by Schorr and was so knocked out that he came out of semi-retirement to produce her.

Already a consummate songwriter in her own right, with tracks on major labels, Sari wrote or co-wrote almost all the songs on the album. The album features the stunning blues guitarist Innes Sibun (formerly of Robert Plant’s band), who is the driving force behind Sari’s new band, The Engine Room. The album also features the incomparable Walter Trout, performing his great song “Work No More”

Schorr gained prominence in the blues world through tours with blues legend Joe Louis Walker and renowned guitarist Popa Chubby, and was recently inducted into the New York Blues Hall of Fame.

“During her performances her vocal range and delivery are a compelling combination that just holds your attention right from the start, casting a spell over the audience that is incredible to witness.” – Blues Matters

“Schorr is undoubtedly a find, writing strong songs in a range of styles, with interesting lyrics. Vocally she has the goods to do justice to that range too, with a bluesy voice that can deliver both power and delicacy. The partnership with Innes Sibun is a winner too.” – Blues Enthused

Little Red and the Big Bad Wolf
Date: 11th February 2018
Details:  Presented by Unity Theatre and Action Transport Theatre

A small figure sets off, with red cloak and hood
to grandmas they go, the other side of the woods

Do not stop to smell the flowers, or sing to the birds
or climb a tall tree, remember these words…

Do not leave the path, for you’d make a tasty treat!
For the hungriest wolf of all, who is ready to eat!

Join us for a bold and highly theatrical re-telling of the well-known classic tale packed with music, dance and song.

The production explores the thrill of adventure and unknown versus the safety and familiarity of the path and how irresistible straying can be, as well as the tension between mankind and nature. Are the wolves really the villains in a world where the woodcutter is destroying the forest? And is Grandma the trophy hunter really sick?

“Perfectly formed… recaptures the art of sharing folktales by the fireside” – The Stage

Doors: 2:00pm

On stage: 2:30pm

Live/Wire The AC/DC Show
Date: 16th February 2018
Details:  Live/Wire is The AC/DC Show. The unique six-man tribute to rock music’s greatest band AC/DC, complete with cannons, a wall of Marshalls’ and over two hours of High Voltage Rock ‘n’ Roll.

The AC/DC story is over forty years in the making, with two specific eras and the band cover both these as always with both ‘Gary’ Bon Scott and ‘Pete’ Brian Johnson present to take you on the Rock and Roll train for a night to remember. Originally fronting AC/DC was legendary front man Bon Scott, a wild man of rock and roll, whose untimely death shocked the world in 1980. This event came at a time when the band was sampling global success for the first time. Gary delivers songs from the Band’s first half dozen albums from Dirty Deeds to Highway to Hell with Bon’s inimitable attitude and style. Pete, then dons the flat cap as Geordie vocalist, Brian Johnson, whom AC/DC turned to in order to fill the void left by Bon. Brian’s searing vocals Iced Back in Black, one of the best-selling rock albums of all time! Brian has now been with AC/DC for well over thirty years and like a good wine he’s matured with age. Pete brings the Live/Wire show bang up to date with classic ‘Brian’ songs and includes some tracks from AC/DC’s recent and hugely successful new album, Rock or Bust.

The band aim to put you slap bang in the middle of the show with hit after hit, and you are expected to join in! There’ll also be one or two gems thrown in for the aficionados! We’d be hung, drawn and quartered if we didn’t play all the classics, Back in Black, Rosie, Highway to hell are all there, and the songs keep on coming until the cannons fire ceremoniously to bring the evening to a superb crescendo. If by this time you are still standing…we salute you! Long Live AC/DC, Long Live LIVE/WIRE

Who's Who
Date: 24th February 2018
Details:  Formed in West London in 1996, Who’s Who, the longest established Who Tribute Show in the UK, have received incredible reactions across Europe and beyond for their exciting live performances. Widely respected and acknowledged by members of The Who, as the group that most interprets the songs of Pete Townshend and the legendary live performances of The Who, with honesty and integrity. Giving nothing less than 100% during a performance, Who ’s Who ensure that a night to remember is guarantee. The band celebrated the 40th anniversary of "Live at Leeds" in 2010, touring extensively and performing the whole of "Tommy" to audiences in the UK and Europe, amid critical acclaim.

Raw Power, Passion and Soul, that's what defines the members that make up Who’s Who. Their longevity and chemistry together as a unit is unchallengeable - 13 years in a stable line-up, the longest ever for any Who type band; and from that comes an understanding of each other as players; much like The Who themselves. Any player will tell you that you cannot buy chemistry, and it serves as a testament to the reputation they have worked extremely hard to cement.

Who's Who plays to its strengths, which is its collective talent as players and performers. The music will always come first - there are no wigs or "stick on" sideburns here.

As history rolls on; they have proved to be an essential ingredient to fans of The Who and the musical legacy it's left behind.

Under 18’s must be accompanied by an adult and seated on the balcony upstairs.
