Local Memories of World War One
Date: 18th May 2018
Details:  BETA, Eileen and Eileen, are presently researching World War One with Local Memories. We do have some local memories from families of those who served. We would really like to hear from anyone who has family memories of those local people who were involved with World War One locally. We need to print the research in a book ready for Armed Forces Day in JUne. Therefore we need the memories by 18th May 2018. If you have any photographs that can be included this would greatly help.
Thank you, Eileen and Eileen

The Prince Experience
Date: 18th May 2018
Details:  In 2016, we lost Prince, one of the most prolific and controversial musical icons of all time. It seemed that there was nothing this man couldn’t do, and because there was only one PRINCE, there is only one Prince tribute band, The Prince Experience.

The nine piece Prince Experience comprises some amazing musicians who all have one thing in common – they are huge fans of the music. This love is clear for all to see and hear when the band take to the stage.

Fast becoming known as ‘the tightest live band out there’ The Prince Experience play with a passion that is undeniable. Jaw breaking high notes, screams and high heels, wailing guitar solos, Linn drums, loops, funky bass, live horns and that famous ‘purple’ sense of humour.

Only The Prince Experience have the audacity and the musicianship to do justice to the music of the purple genius and it all comes together in an incredible onstage explosion of hits. From the floor shaking 1999, through the era defining Purple Rain soundtrack right through the hits of the 90s, and beyond. One thing is for sure, you’d better bring your comfortable shoes, because you WILL be dancing. Celebrate the music of Prince with The Prince Experience.

Limehouse Lizzy
Date: 25th May 2018
Details:  Limehouse Lizzy continue to keep the spirit of Celtic rock icon Philip Lynott and his band Thin Lizzy alive, well and dominating stages worldwide. The band have also added a tribute into their show to ex-Thin Lizzy guitarist (and world renowned solo artist) Gary Moore.

From their Official PRS award, performing for Virgin Atlantic in Barbados, T.V. appearances (BBC 2’s ‘Arena’ amongst others), and to actually being recruited to record and tour by members of the original Thin Lizzy, Limehouse Lizzy enter their 21st year with their most explosive show and critically-acclaimed line-up yet.

Despite international tours (UAE, Germany and previously USA, Scandinavia, Caribbean etc.), corporate clients (Mitsubishi, NatWest) and even book appearances (The Rocker, Send In The Clones), they’ve shoehorned a co-headline tour with tribute giants Livewire into 2015, along with their own stand-alone tour, in what will be an exhausting year-long schedule. The boys are back!
