The (ONCE) Mighty Wolves..

Posted by: jarvo (27564)  Report abuse
This is about a terrible RL team that is full of Wiggin rejects and other journeymen.

They will not win one game this season.

Fact.

Nowt to do with Warrington...

Leigh will be ok..I but must take advantage of home games

Posted by: roylew (2245) Report abuse
I think Powell is the best coach in the league

Posted by: kathpressey (4188)  Report abuse
they have some good players and a good coach. It's a shame they got thrashed. Early on I thought they could have got a couple of tries but were slow to react when a ball bounced. you don't have time to stand and think what to do. Maybe nerves played a part too.

wolves = faiiure

Posted by: peawapp (4772)  Report abuse
Wolves are indeed an absolutely awful Soccer team, constantly living on so called past glories (what past glories I hear you ask) Bert Williams ,Ron flowers ,Johnny Hancock and Billy wright all third raters, Jarvo is wrong as usual about Leigh they need time to Gel ,then they will be alright,

Wigan beat Wolves

Leigh could and should have won last night Riddy would have kicked two more goals ,they were the best team ,(something wich Wolves fortunately will never be )

Posted by: builderboy (1789) Report abuse
They weren't the best team.

There were 20 Wigan fans in our local club all hoping that you would beat Leeds, but you came up short.

One thing is for sure - you will win games.

Posted by: MarieM (4684) Report abuse
Well done Leigh. Bodes well for the rest of the season. Practice your goal kicking.

Posted by: roylew (2245) Report abuse
Not the only team who needs a kicker...hope it doesn't come down to that tomorrow....

Posted by: jarvo (27564)  Report abuse
They lost...Again.

Posted by: wizzerwin (1437) Report abuse

Good on you Leigh

Posted by: peawapp (4772)  Report abuse
Jarvo Jarvo what's the score Jarvo what's the score .Leigh as we all knew they would proved last night that you know absolutely bugger all about Rugby league ,match number 3 and won one already and should have won 2, meanwhile your rag bag of a pathetic football team lost again ,I saw them on Sky this morning ,I wasn't surprised when they resorted to cheating by getting a Birmingham player sent off a perfectly legal tackle saw a wolves player fall to the floor screaming and wailing like a baby ,then the ref sent him off and he sprang up and started running about, and the couldn't even beat ten men ,truly pathetic time to give it up

Great result peawapp best of luck for the rest of the season

Brilliant result, Peawapp! I know my late brother-in-law [John Lewis] will be smiling broadly at that victory!

Posted by: peawapp (4772)  Report abuse
Big John Lewis knew Him well ,Super guy ,did I relate the story of when He was in charge of Leigh East ,one of the Easts players who was a diabetic had brought with him a mars bar for half time and asked John to look after it till He needed it ,as they walked off at half time He said to John " Ast geet me mars bar john" and john replied "I've eaten it tha didn't want it now did tha" the player had to run to the nearest shop for a replacement ,good old John

Posted by: broady (12473)   Report abuse
Well done Leigh. I bet your old sponsor ( Fossil) is reading this. 😂😂

Posted by: gideonfel (240) Report abuse
Just like John! Shared a room with him on two trips to Oz and New Zealand. His snoring sounded like a motor bike revving up!

Posted by: wizzerwin (1437) Report abuse
Good job you didn't take the bet jarvo.

Posted by: lectriclegs (2759) Report abuse
Another good win for Leigh last night.

Posted by: basil brush (8791) Report abuse
Dukesy would have sorted them out.

Posted by: peawapp (4772)  Report abuse
Brian Bowman Ex Leigh chairman was sat with Shaun Wane at last nights match and Brian's Wife said to Shaun "I hope your supporting Leigh tonight," and Shaun said " well I'm certainly not shouting for any bloody Yorkshiremen that's for sure " I've always liked Shaun Wane

Posted by: baker boy (13710) Report abuse
good luck to the leythers,a long time in the wilderness.

Posted by: jarvo (27564)  Report abuse
It will not last. Once the big guns find their feet (and it takes until September to do so) Leigh will fall away badly.

So badly that may yet go back down...

And I mean that sincerely, folks.

Posted by: Handsomeminer (1274) Report abuse
Quit why your behind jarvo

Posted by: aussie94 (1562) Report abuse
Agree.

Posted by: joemaplin (86) Report abuse

Posted by: broady (12473)   Report abuse
Jarvo,

50.00 says they win two more this season in League. Loser pays to Hospice. I would have said 100.00 then I remembered you are still working and won't have as much disposable income as those of us that are retired.

Posted by: kathpressey (4188)  Report abuse
Leigh are doing well and this weeks game was very close..More surprises in store I think!

Posted by: lectriclegs (2759) Report abuse
He still owes his house to harryjames.

So a wager with him would be a little unwise if you ask me.

LL,
Where do you keep digging these names up from?? I do remember him from the dim and distant past. Sounds as though he also had the measure of the Swarf Collector.

Posted by: jarvo (27564)  Report abuse
Broad Bill: Remember mister, you sent me a friend request...

We don't do swarf where I work...We're more advanced than that.

Posted by: broady (12473)   Report abuse
I did in good faith but as I have said before once I read your comments regarding Miner's wives that was goodbye from me. I actually thought you couldn't be as bad as you appear on here but since then you have sunk even lower. Tell your mate from number three he doesn't need to reply as I won't see it.

Posted by: jarvo (27564)  Report abuse
It doesn't matter, Plod. I doesn't matter.

Posted by: broady (12473)   Report abuse
Are you going to take the bet or keep waffling on???
