£10.00 voucher for druggies

Started by: wiganyankeeron (inactive)

New proposal is to give Druggies. a £10.00 shopping voucher as an incentive to stay off drugs. Where is the money coming from??? Yep you and me. How is it the government can find money for this project, yet they can't find the money for the drugs needed to keep people alive?

This government just gets better and better doesn't it? NOT!!! Here's a thing, why not drop M.Ps. salaries and pension funds, do away with their 27% payrise and use all the money they save to fund these hare-brained schemes of theirs. They'd soon get back to the land of the living if it affected their own pockets!

Stupid idea, they will sell em.Simple as that.
We've had drugs affect out family, so I speak as someone who knows. Scumbag dealers they should be sorting, and making rehab less of a wait for users.Be better off using all those tenners to sort the problem, enough kids have died cos of drugs.

Ten pounds for druggies, it dont work the way you all think it dose, To get the ten pound voucher a person will have to have a urine test & blood test, if any drugs show up in the test they dont get it,it is strickly to buy goods,

TWO YEARS BEFORE THE MAST I SAY.let them swing around the yard arms before breakfast.let them dangle from the crosstrees with a paint brush before lunch.at some point they can look up at their work for the day, and feel a sense of acheivement.aint that the problem with todays society??everything is given to them on a plate.they can argue chapter and verse, as to what is their rights, without once breaking out into a sweat.a days tank cleaning on some old freighter would make them appreciate the value of money, especialy when they have to earn it themselves.

I caught a bit of this on the news today, I heard something about ipods and TV's as well, so that when they do come off drugs they wouldn't feel so disenfranchised from society. Aah poor lambs, how hard must it be for them if they have to resort to drugs to get a high, give them an ipod or an mp3 player, that will really fix their problem - NOT,

Who dreams up this codswallop? Rewarding them for staying clean - gimme a break. What about using some of that money for the people who are in a bad way through no fault of their own, such as people who look after their disabled children or elderly parents?

Or try sorting out the problem at the source, chase up the dealers and come down hard on them.

Why do 'druggies' think that the world owes them a living?

If they are so smart to get themselves in that mess then how about being smart enough to get out of it?

I told my kids when the young Aussies got busted in Bali for trying to smuggle heroin back into country that if they had done that, they wouldn't have needed the death sentence - I would have gone over there and shot them myself. No good to anybody. Just cause more misery for more people.
