Well what a great December morn this is the sun is shining theres frost on the ground(no snow) and it's cold.I love it! Can almost hear the "jingle bells"

Was out at 6am this morning xrh it took me ages to defrost me car.... im back home for another couple of hours then im off out to work again. Brrrrrrrrr but i like it to....fal la la la la lalalala

I love snow on Christmas cards , I could not say I miss freezing ,wet days , damp smelly clothes , overcoats etc though.
However the day you describe if it is dry and fresh then yes those days are great. Sydney had a hot one yesterday 33c , and more today . Summer is here and the shops are full of Christmas trees and reindeers , seems toatlly out of place in this climate . I used to miss the cold weather at Christmas but not any more . The old bones have grown accustomed to the warm climate and a glass or two of champers to wash down the prawns and lobster on Christmas day, sat out in the garden is preffered to huddling around a fire eating plum pud .

What makes you think we have "damp smelly clothes" Aussie.

It has been cold, A Proud latics Supporter. I was on a train this morning and a little toddler was delighted to see a field of sheep covered with white frost though.

There was a bit of excitement too when the lightest sprinkling of snow fell mid-morning.

Plus I have to get there in the car at quarter to seven in the morning so if the conditions are bad it will make it all the more difficult to get to the farm. I have to go down quite a steep hill so don't fancy skidding on the way down (yes I am careful) and then don't fancy finding out I can't get back up the hill to get home and get my daughter to school.

It's not about the snow it's about being practical.

It is me dizzy I admit it. I don't mind the weather myself but it's a horrible road I have to travel up and down to get there if the conditions are bad. Nothing to do with my horse. He has all the best rugs on the market to keep him warm. Better dressed than I am that bugger is.

Anyway it doesn't matter now.......xrh's wife is going instead lol!

Yeah I was there this morning while my daughter was in the car under her duvet with the heaters on full blast! Now before you all have a go at me my parents are on holiday so have no choice but to take her with me. When I'd done I got back in the car and she said to me.....I had to turn the heaters down cause it was too warm!

That was the last thing that I wanted to hear!

Well I'd love to stop and chat but I'm off to climb the stairs with my little old mate (my dog, in case anyone thinks I've got a fella chained under the stairs) who likes to wrap himself round my feet and keep them warm in bed.

Unfortunately he's got terminal cancer and hasn't got long left in this world so every minute counts and all that.

I'm trying to think what colour a fourth rosette is. It's either green or yellow.

He keeps threatening to come and have a go on mine dizzy but I think he bottles out! You should come and have a go. He's a big soft sod my lad!

Ah dizzy, I'd like to say it isn't breaking my heart but I'd be lying. He didnt have the best start in life but found his way to me and for the last twelve years I could count on one hand how many times he has been ill.

He's been a cracking little dog and I can only do what's best for him. I've got a very good vet who I trust. He's a little soldier at the moment.

xrh , Damp smelly clothes ,the last time I spent Christmas in the UK was 1997 . Everywhere I went , on the trains , the buses , shops , I encountered people with damp smelly clothes or maybe it was BO . In the pubs , in the Cinemas wherever I went . London , Manchester , Wigan , Burnley , York Harrogate , Oxford , Gloucester and Cheltenham . Clothes do tend to smell when wet and I noticed it . Things may have changed since then , but the damp , dark days and the freeezing cold did nothing for me . You are welcome to all the snow and fog and ice and of course rain does it ever stop .

If i bother you so much please put me on ignore or just get on with your postings and leave me out of your petty feuds, thank you Jarvo.
