This is a photograph of Bernard Dowdall as he appears in the film Bedlam.
Bernard plays a ghost in this eerie production soon to be shown on Living TV.
The film was produced at Granada Studios and on location in Yorkshire.
Bernard’s daughter is Head of Make Up at Granada TV and they appear to have done a good number on Bernard.
Bernard tells me that the film is not for the squeamish and by the looks of Bernard - neither is he!

Joey..just a small point .My daughter is a Make-up supervisor on Coronation Street. Not head of make-up at Granada. She's brilliant.I've not been in it yet though !

Sory Bernard - you're daughters on the phone - whats that? -the photo was taken before Bernard went into make up!
Sorry Curly lad anyone can make a mistake.

So...that's what the ghost of Wigan past looks like............

Nice one, Bernard.

Good luck.

Pru dear I'm looking forward to sseeing Peter Bernard in his latest role. I'm not sure I have Living TV. I must get Pere to record it for me.

Our Frank's comment would be, "Pseudonymous self adulation". But I'm more generous of spirit than Franky boy who's burning a thin green candle.
I like local folk doing good ... so go for it Bernard and good luck with your acting career.

Daphie darling, I do believe that bedlam will only be broadcast in early 2011, so you have plaenty of time to sort out your TV.

Bernard can you send me a signed copy of this photo so that I can frame it and put it on the mantelpiece. Your most ardent fan, Cliff.

Comment by: Daphne Barrington-Brown on 16th February 2011 at 17:27

Pru dear, I have watched the first two episodes of Bedlam but I haven't seen Peter Bernard yet. Maybe he is heavily disguised by make up.

Comment by: Joey on 18th February 2011 at 15:10

Bernard tells me he's currently filming with Sir Anne Jones. I thought she was a wimbledon tennis champion but Bernard says she was a regular on Coronation St. Bernard has a crush on her - no accounting for taste - but then I guess Bernard is a bit of a luvvy these days.
