Thanks piccyme, Paper Tole is basically an art form in itself utilizing multiple copies of one photo. Deb spends a considerable time just looking at the original photo before starting work. A complete copy is glued to a base of cardboard (or similar ) and then starting form what she perceives as the subject closest to the horizon she starts to build up a 3D image by layering multiple copies of each subject usually seperated by 1 - 2 mm. It is difficult to see the depth of the work in a photo but in the Tigers photo the trees in the top r/h corner have only a single layer attached whereas the ferns on the left have been built up in multiple layers of individual fronds.
Some of her work takes months to complete ( and she calls me mad! )I'll see if we have a couple of pics of other examples.
