cindy the couple of photos I have (courtesy WW ) of the Chapel Lane goods shed(s) all appear to show brickwork, although I have been unable to find anything showing the end facing Chapel lane itself.
I was fortunate to get a number of photo copies from the history shop of various structures within the Gasworks,including intial construction of the new much bigger retort house, but none looking toward chapel lane sadly.
Anyway, where's the pic's of Wigan Central then?? come on,let's be having you
