Hello all,
Following on from the previous post about the weather just had a few more days in the mid 30's but a couple of weeks ago we went from 35 one day to 18 max the following day talk about being B cold!
Anyway, having got fed up with track and train repairs I decided to do a bit of modelling and Westwood Lane bridge drew the short straw. Well at least it is based on it and it's rough location.
The model has followed my usual approach of working from original photos, in this instance primarily the side walls of the inside face of the bridge became the outside face.

There was no way I was going to attempt to paint the surfaces of the model, any previous attempts to paint models have ended up looking like a thumbnail dipped in tar has been involved, hence why I try to use printed 'wraps' for as much as I can. In this case that includes the vertical angles and the channel and I beam sections under the bridge that are wrapped in suitable printouts.
While being rather fiddly to wrap the end result makes me quite happy.
The vertical angle on the side walls are 2mm Plastic angle and the channel underneath is 4mm.

The granite Setts are courtesy of a plaster molding ( originally sold as a stone wall but they make much better setts)

On the health front it is just over 12 months since radiotherapy treatment finished, still get tired and have only put on 5kgs of the 42 I lost but all going well. I have a check up tomorrow with the Ear Nose and throat specialist so hopefully all will continue to be well.
Cheers for now, stay interested and keep the home fires burning.
