BBC2, current programme about astronomy.

Two talking heads are in focus, but the starscape behind them is very, very, OUT OF FOCUS!

Every so often, one of them aims a laser pointer into the background starscape. It could just as well be raindrops on a windscreen: you can't see a thing.

I guess the programme is a jolly for the presenters rather than anything meant for consuming by the viewers.
