Having moved to Australia eleven years ago I'm now trying to trace my family tree for the benefit of my eight year old son. My mother was born Hilda SCOTT on Dec 17th in Bolton Brow, Sowerby Bridge. Her mother was born Louisa GLOVER around the 1890's to 1900's somewhere in Manchester and married Lewis SCOTT in 1920. The terms "Moss Side" and "carpet mills" occur in family oral history. Anyone know anyone from this GLOVER family I'd love to hear from you.
