People   (Re-unions, trace old friends and relatives.)

I am currently researching the life and military service of my great-uncle, George Henry Bagshaw b25/11/98 - died of wounds in France 17/5/1918 whilst serving with the 5th Batt Duke of Wellington's Regt.
The 1901 census shows him living, with his mother Harriet (nee Hoof)and sister, Rebecca, at 22 Bottling Wood, Wigan, as'visitors' to one Mark Hoof ( probably Harriets brother / uncle.
The family originally hailed from the Madeley area of Dawley in Shropshire and moved to Wigan around 1900 - George's father, William James Henry Bagshaw, does not appear to be living with them, but there were other Bagshaws from Shropshire living in Lancashire at the time, so it may well have been that he stayed with them whilst looking for work as a collier.
So far I have managed to find out quite a lot about 'our George' and the Wigan connection is the final step before a short book goes to print.
If anyone has any information about the area or photos of 22 Bottling Wood ' then and now', I would like very much to hear from them.
I will be coming over to Wigan next year for a 'now and then' comparison photo - re the photo on this website - could anyonwe give me an idication of where it was taken from, in relation to the new houses that are there now?

Thanks
