Places   (Help with places, streets and buildings in Wigan.)

ppnw,I was a surveyor at Golborne from 1972 till 1987 and I didn't hear of or see any schemes of that nature in those years.My boss for the first 10 years, Bill Magrath,who had been colliery surveyor of Golborne since the mid 1950's never mentioned anything.However in the early days of Parkside,they did a lot of exploration work towards the Golborne South Area, which Golborne itself was still only developing into.I do remember seeing that in a few places on the mine plans, proving headings from both pits were pretty close on plan but seperated by hundreds of feet in level.
