Places   (Help with places, streets and buildings in Wigan.)

As the house's were built on his land they would make one of the houses responsible for the collection of the ground rent ever year and to see it was paid to Lord Gerards estate, the house that I lived in on Lowe Bank Road was one of these house numbers that HAD to collect, I still have them saved here up to 1984 you never know

This is now the only 6 foot peace of land I attend to in the Churchyard, the volunteers have no chance without help
