Here we go again not getting involved but we all know Sankey Canal was the first man made canal dug out from scratch.

Carr Forge Dam and river is in Sheffield it's nothing like the Sankey Canal starting at Black brook St-Helen. Carr Forge Dam is situated nearby to Hackenthorpe, and close to Shire Brook Valley Local Nature Reserve.
