I think Chady was the manager when Jimmy Higham got himself into trouble for jumping onto a moving manrider train which H.M. inspector of mines and quarries was travelling on. Jimmy was hauled before Chady and everybody thought it would result in his sacking. But some shrewd negotiations by the National Union of Mineworkers got his sentence reduced to a two week suspension. Jimmy's response to Chaddy was, "Can we wait until't fishing season starts before I'm suspended"?
