GB: I know you're not interested in who, but you did ask why and that's when it all started and how.
Xi Jinping has announced at the UN General Assembly on Thursday that China will stop building coal power plants abroad. Roughly 70% of coal plants around the world being built today are financed by China.
It's reckoned that removing China's finance could mean a lasting moratorium on coal.
However, he didn't say when the finance would stop or what China would do about its continued coal investments at home.
