It is just like buying a branded named pair of trainers, in that folk are buying the name, not what the trainer stands for in terms of quality and qualities, people who buy a property in Standish are spending a good portion of the purchase price for the name, the name of Standish, without any regard for the facilities and infrastructure which Standish has to offer.

I hate the phrase "They are concreting over everything" because in most cases it is a stupid remark, when referring to a new road, just go up in a plane and see how much room a motorway takes up, and it is nothing in comparison to the surrounds green areas, but in the case of Standish, when you add up how many houses have been built there in the last 30-40 years, they are indeed concreting over the place, and it is because builders know that if they build houses in Standish, they will get a high price for those houses, because the demand is there for those houses, because they are in Standish, and a builder told me that.

If I was a Standisher now, I would sell me property to some idiot who will pay a silly price for it, and I would go and buy a property somewhere else, and buy a better property, in a place which has better facilities and infrastructure, than what Standish has to offer
