HAPPYLAND


The river awaits me.
It is angry and filled with the sea.

I must cross
at its widest point

where the current rushes
and pulls me in.

On the other side lies the land of happiness,
where the sun has broken through.

I must go deeper to the rivers's bed -
to get across to you.
