What on earth could make you feel that I have been offended? I merely hoped to draw your attention, in a light hearted way, to your use of ect, believing that what you actually meant was etc.

etc is abbreviation for etcetera.
ECT (it is customary to capitalise initials) is abbreviation for electro-convulsive therapy!
