Terry,I used to take my youngest to the cenotaph every year.

As a child every Remembrance Sunday,I would come home from Church and could tell my Mam had been crying and would wonder why..of course now I know,but why did they used to keep children in the dark about wars...we seemed to have 1066 rammed down our throats so as I say why not the war.
