Originally my friend took a huge petition in, then was told that it would only be counted as one objection. So he went back to his group and they asked everyone to write individual letters. Some started to send in email objections but didn't have any confirmation that they had been received. So they resorted to traditional letters. My friend handed in 200 and his friend handed in 500... all individual objections.
