What else can the council do with this areaWhen the grand arcade was built the galleries became a white elephant with units that were never let and it became a ghost town. If they keep losing units in the grand arcade then this also will have to have a total rethink also. King st was a shopping zone then it became a dive full of overpriced boozers and looks in a sorry state of disrepair also they tried to spruce up the area around the railway stations and failed with that. So something has to be done or Wigan town centre will be nothing but boarded up shops
