Owd Codger,I am quite sure the benefit system is not as easy to access these days as you seem to think!
I personally know of three people been on benefits for years.now in work and not by choice because if they didn't get a job they wouldn't get any money.
I suggest you have a look at the BBC2 programme Bradford on duty as it's a real eye opener, real poverty and real problems being handled by caring people who don't look down their nose at people needing help.
Good links there from tts and SD, and I am sure we have a problem affording to handle the immigration crisis, but putting the immigrants to work to our countries advantage would seem to be a better,being homed and paid by farmers and hotels' than the lame brained, law breaking Rwanda scheme!
