I think therein lies the matter at hand. Historically some firms/companies would have overlooked people of colour for jobs for just that reason. Now, as things have moved on these same firms are now feared of rejecting these same applicants for fear of being accused of racism. Where before it would have been ' best applicant by far, but he's black, sorry ' now it's ' definately not the best we've interviewed but we can't not give it them ' The pendulum has swung completely the other way. It should be what an individual brings to the table, not their colour. As a personal observation, I played football many years ago with half a dozen black lads ( yes, I'm sure they won't mind me calling them that ) and they were a cracking bunch of lads. One or two rum un's but you knew that if it came to hey lad's hey, they'd have your back. It's not about skin colour, it's about what's beating in the chest. There's good and bad in everyone, irrespective of skin tone
