As an 86 year old, I have sympathy for Megan, she is of mixed race and that does not go down well with the British upper classes. As a youngster, I was slightly racist, but going into the armed forces changed my attitude completely, as going around the world I met people of all colours and creeds. A lot of people my age are still very racist, they have never mixed with coloured persons and have no intentions of doing so.
