Books for the connoursier

For many years I have been working on a unique book on Wigan history. This I will keep secret for now in case some opportunist beats me to the finishing post. But watch this space. In the meanwhile I have published a couple of books, vaguely connected with Wigan but informative for the enthusiast.
Shortly I will publish my selection of poems... Wigan inspired..

Wigan? History? Ooooooh., that's a new one! I don't think anybody's ever thought of that before!

How about a book about Yickers We have books about Wigan/ St Helens but very little about Haydock.

My history of Wigan has a very different perspective from the books currently available. As for Haydock, yes, there is certainly much history there that could be explored and put into writing. I'm not so familiar with Haydock but have a few friends who sing its praises.

JR, I'm sure Haydock's past has much less historical content than Wigan's has. In my opinion, you should stick with Wigan for your project. There's loads more tales for you to repeat !

PS: and do get your work's content edited before publication, to avoid the inevitable spelling mistakes, laaaaike!

JR, I have read the free parts of both of your new publications that appear on Amazon.  As you indicate, they are for the enthusiast, so I was not tempted to purchase.  But I enjoyed reading the references to Wigan, and look forward to your take on that part of its history that you will cover. I anticipate something a little different!

Yes, a niche market, but I've had a couple of favourable responses from people who have purchased and read the books, which is promising!

Landscaping, eh.? Do you know anything about drystone walling on terraces? I've geet some, tha'sees, and it's falling down when it rains heavy.

Tonker, sorry but although I've dabbled in drystone walls it is a very niche industry and takes a good bit of coaching to guarantee success.

The authors' pages have many gremlins in their works. I continually advise the regulators but promises become frustrating long issues. I have had an Egyptian historian credited to my account!!! Frustrating for me and I'm sure even more infuriating for my namesake!
