Dougie, I went to the service this morning and I thought how nice to see the garden used in this way and for me it was a step in the right direction....I was a bit dissapointed with the new flowers , I thought there would be more. but never mind again it was a nice gesture....

Dougie the garden looks nice on the picture but isn't to nice in real life been down this afternoon and it needs a lot of work on it. I noticed one of the gate post's is getting a bit loose I think it as been moved across a little

What i'm saying is the garden dosn't look anything like the photo,like you say it needs some TLC, and the gate post want's looking at as soon as possible.

Wether you took my photo or not dosn't mean the background would be nice.

Veteran. I haven`t noticed the damaged gatepost,I`ll have a look next time I go....And Dougie is a fantastic photographer but even he couldn`t make you more handsome than I am(Howls of laughter).....What about that cross though ? how can we make that more `handsome`? Paint or varnish ?

Have a word with the muppets at Shevvy parish councii to see if you can have their flowers,
they are letting the planters "dry-out", so they can move them.Err HELLO, I think that means the flowers will die, still they just buy some more, it's only ratepayers money.

Ray its the left post at the gate put your best specs on you shouldn't beable to miss it. as for the cross it is very plain looking, yes a bit of varnish would be ok i think

Veteran I went up to have a look....took some finding cos I was looking at the actual gate post that holds the gate..then I spotted it was the corner post that had the top two feet knocked inwards about 1/2 inch. It could only have been done by a high waggon but once again it confirms how close they get to the entrance.....I don`t want to say `we told you` cos they won`t listen anyway.....It really needs some barrier posts putting up before its too late!!!!

What it "REALLY" needs is to keep Ray away from it!!

We were concerned about vandalism... never thought the vandal would be a 70+ year old.

As you can see, someone (not naming names) has attempted to remove the glue... without success... and as a result taking some of the stone facing with it.

Now who was it that said they had plans to remove the glue?...hmmmm

It needs a couple of coats of Sikkens Cetol HLS followed by a coat of Sikkens Cetol Filter 7.

When I first saw the glue I thought it was wood glue and would come off easily but I have no idea what kind of glue the clown used. Tis a disgrace. On the pic you can still see how he tried to glue things to the cross itself. What can we do? Have him arrested?

I didn't mean the glue, Ned. I meant the timber cross!

And what was Ray trying to stick with the glue? I'm sure he wouldn't purposely sabotage the garden?

Dougie, I'm fairly sure at the time he said he'd wished he'd screwed them on, so in his own little world he thought they would be permenant. His obsession with the garden and hatred for the group has now done even more damage, so much for the glue just peeling off like many said. Hopefully his idiocy can be repaired and covered up without any permanent scars.

I suggest you all refer back to the thread at the time 11/11/10 when I said that someone else had put the WHITE glue on in order to make it look worse. I repeat I DID NOT PUT THE WHITE GLUE ON!!! I wonder who did? Secondly I stated that the profile of the crosses on the wood will be covered up in the near future with a metal plaque in honour of someone special....AND NO ONE WILL STOP ME!!!Thirdly isn`t it clever of neddy boy to try and divert attention away from the recently damaged pillar given that he said the entrance was not dangerous........Straight answers please .......

Come off it Ray. On the picture above you can see a long line of glue on the right with dark and white blobs. All were made at the same time. At the front you can see where the glue has run over the edge, but formed a white blob at the end. Just admit it. You also have failed to admit to being the idiot who tried to remove it causing even more damage. Your plaque won't last 24 hours, so in the end all people will see is further damage caused by you.

The evidence from the picture would indicate that the white glue has dripped from the area where the crosses were glued. Maybe you didn't see the drips when you did it, was it dark?
Either that or you are just denying the truth.

But to say now that you are going to put a plaque on the cross....

I think you should think very carefully before you do anything so foolish.

Rayonline your behaviour does not seem 'normal', you seem obsessed. That cannot be good for you or your family - perhaps it is time you got some help.

Thanks for that,Dougie.The left hand pillar is the one recently damaged and a picture will appear later....Doesn`t the cross look decent on this photo compared to today,Now that`s what I call major vandalism and something just has to be done about it,re Tonker`s suggestion.....Now back to the glue. the glue I used was in small tubes,was colourless and obtained from the pound shop in gerard st. 7 tubes for a pound.thats why it wouldnt stick ,it was cheap rubbish....I repeat I aint afraid to admit my mistake and if that white glue had been my doing I WOULD HAVE ADMITTED IT AT THE TIME....enough of that petty subject...The plaque will not be by me alone it will be professional ,and authorised, and permanent.....and would be very difficult to remove without real damage......And it will be a tribute to real heroes...not those that hide behind false names.....and approved by the real community......

Unless the driver of the vehicle wished to mount the pavement or is already driving on the pavement, there is no reason to even go near the entrance of the garden. Do you suggest somekind of pedestrian crossing be put in place on the worlds least busy road.

Section 8. you don`t seem to want to see the facts before your eyes!!!!go and have a look for yourself at the left hand pillar and ask yourself how that damage can be done. and also I have previously published photos of damage done by a vehicle on the pavement... which you joked about at the time....This is serious so treat the matter seriously. I have been totally consistent with all my criticisms from day one and will continue to be until people like you finally see the truth and admit it!!!!

Your very blaise about the damage you've done but ok you only put the majority of glue stains on the stone, and all of those on the cross. What about the chunks out of the stone. Was that you?

Section 8. I am not blaise` at all. at the time I said I was sorry that I accidently spilled the colourless glue and left the marks on the wood.What more do you want? I was very careful in removing the crosses from the stone but the surface layer is very delicate and although I removed the first cross easily the second one unfortunately brought that peice of surface with it....again ,it was an accident, now I could easily fill it in but will it be the same colour?would I get critised for trying and not being perfect? I think I would. A good friend of mine has just lost his life by `accident` and at the moment that`s a little bit more important to me right now than your pathetic attempts to belittle me.....so back off!!

Ray doesn't need a shovel to dig a big hole for himself. Just a pot of glue!

So you admit to defacing the cross with glue, you admit to staining the plinth with glue and you admit to pulling off the surface of the plinth. That's enough damage I would say.

You tried to glue the crosses to the Cross in the middle of the night.
Then you glued them to the stone.
Then some phantom glue freak came along and added MORE glue.
Then you went back to take a picture?

I have to ask: why not just put the memorial crosses into the ground near the flowers like other people did?

I admit to trying to honour two young lads from Stubshie who have not been remembered,honoured ,or acknowledged of their ultimate sacrifice by anyone else in the whole of this country especially you who are so small minded as to worry over a bit of glue which was spilled accidentally in the doing so. Like Tonker says what I did can be undone.In the meanwhile those two young men still wait for someone to come along and deliver justice to their names.
