TV updates

At the beginning of November Freeview were doing updates and moving channels. Our Tv is still getting banner on screen telling us there are updates. Every other day I am doing a update but we are still getting the message to update Any one got any ideas why this is happening

Is it Freeview's own message telling you that set needs retuning that you are getting? I seem to recall mine also had a notification, something along the lines of 'press yellow to remove this notification'.

However, my Panasonic video recorder, which is my default tuner,(ie it is providing my Freeview signal to Telly's HDMI) frequently (about 40% of occasions upon switch on) does display notice telling me "New Stations Found". And then the option to retune or ignore.

Total number of channels usually does not increase, so I guess channels which were not broadcasting when last I switched off, are being interpreted as new channels.

Sorry Priscus just reread your reply,Yes it is Freeviews own message and it is still appearing on the TV Ironic thing is I did a update at 5-30pm and when it had finished the channels 1 to 5 were pixalating Turned the TV off then on again did another update and TV was ok. Just turned TV on and agan it is showing new channels found press ok or exit to ignore
