Mornings I tend to watch B B C Teletext to see whats going on,News for Northwest is split into 4 regions, Cumbria, Lancashire, Liverpool, Manchester. Lately there are More sports results than News. Surely there must be something to report.

I've also noticed this, a lack of news stories on the BBC regional teletext service, just football stuff, are their journalist on strike? Is there nothing worth reporting?

Granada Reports is almost as bad, about 5 minutes actual news and the rest sport.

I've had a look at most BBC local news teletext pages, all of them more or less the same. There's obviously something going on, I remember reading sometime ago, that the BBC local news was causing some local newspapers to close. Could be connected?
