It never really did it for me don't remember blowing one bubble.

I never produced good bubbles either, especially when they go pop

Mine nearly always exploded and ended up plastered round my mouth and nose.

I remember as a kid getting some bubble gum from Nelsons at the bottom
of Wallgate ..chewing it and it went to nothing..isn't it funny,the things that stick in your mind from childhood.

I loved those thin spanish sticks of about three inches long and if you ate enough,well......

As well as Beechnut I chewed Arrowmint, though I haven't chewed gum for a very long time as I had a crown put in and gum tended to stick to it, so I opted to suck on a Fisherman's Friend.

Can't remember the town centre pavements being full of spat out gum like how they are now, wonder if it was a different mix of gum back then, or was we environmentally friendly and put it in litter bins or stuck it under café and bus seats.
