Just vegging

Started by: britboy (6794)

Occasionally I just veggitate, I have many things to do, but watching the snow drifting silently down is quite a calming meditative effect, your thoughts are allowed to drift away, Mrs britboy just asked if I was getting dress sometime today....when I'm ready was the reply, sometimes you have to have a do nothing day...it regenerates .

Isn't that what Julia Roberts taught Richard Gere to do in Pretty Woman?

I haven't got dressed today either, such a shame as it is a lovely day..could have been a great day to get outside and tidy up the garden.. That was my plan for this month as all of last year was taken up by, well, you know britboy.. Now I am starting the year with pneumonia, so not much changed then

You enjoy watching the snow fall and regenerate

I've made a desicion after 12years of shoveling my own house roof off, time to give up gracefully and pay someone else to do it.

There's been some tremendous snow falls over the last week or so and if I don't get it done next week, a short warm up period forecast in another week will turn the snow into ice blocks on the roof causing a weight problem.
My right hip is a little suspect and having injured my left knee a few weeks ago, discretion is the better part of valor.

Sooooo admit to a little ageing and move on.

Kath...I live in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan state, "up north" as it is commonly referred to on the south shore of Lake Superior.
An area of outstanding beauty in the Hiawatha National Forest region.
I live five miles west of a town called Munising....Munising

And the county...Link

Have a look at images which show the beauty of the area.

I'm originally a Kittgreener.

I've had a look on Google images and I can place you now. It looks very lovely up there . so why did you choose to live there as opposed to other areas?

My wife was originally from Chicago but had lived for 20yrs in the area we live now before I met her.
I've often said there's a best seller to write about the last twenty years or so but ...........

Only the last 30 years? I bet you could tell a tale of two about Kitt Green.

Kittgreen from 1946 onwards (when I was born) up to 2000 when I left for the USA would be an epic... lol
