It's all very confusing

Started by: i-spy (15245)

I read that they were coming back and then that they had never been away.
But I've not seen many in Wigan

Juggling balls, I-Spy as in this photo?

I enlarged that photo and I may have captured a ghostly apparition. A boy whose lower half appears to be disappearing. Spooky.
But no balls if you'll pardon the expression

jo anne, I don't think The Golden Ball will be coming back.

You're right, Priscus, that Golden Ball has Bryn and gone!

You could well be right Jo Anne. But maybe you should do some checking at home.

They are very popular in the USA. But only cos they like to think they are bigger than they are.

Apparently they are still very popular with Liverpudlians Jo Anne. As a scouse-wife you probably know that

Turn ups are popular with Liverpudlians - that's a turn-up for the books!

Are you sure, I-Spy? And just to,add to the confusion here's a Swede with turn ups!

What's the difference between a turnip and a swede. And don't say swedes can sing

Replied: 4th Dec 2016 at 17:15

Turnips are white-fleshed, and swedes are yellow-fleshed.

But whenever the menu says carrot and turnip, carrot and swede always seems to be what arrives on the plate.

And swedes sound very different to turn ups in the USA as they're called rutabagas. link
