Plans to spend £480 million taking pylons down around the Lake District and putting the cables underground are on the cards. This is to lower the visual impact around the Lake District but what about the wind farms which spoil the vista's around the county side

I guess the Lake District is a special case, as the aesthetics of the visual environment are fundamental to its economy.
