Trevor Lake

The sad passing of one of the club's many great wingers recruited from Rugby Union who will always be remembered for scoring a great try against Hunslet in the 1965 Challenge Cup Final.

I never saw him play OC It was before I started watching Wigan I only started In 1969 but I've seen that try at Wembley loads of times RIP Trevor Lake

RIP Trevor Lake. One of the greats, and in the mid-60s he scored unbelievable tries. I was at Wembley in 1965, in Section C11, the corner where Trevor Lake dived over for a wonderful try. I remember a try he scored at Central Park in around 1964 against Swinton - a top team back then - when he ran almost full length of the pitch evading a number of tacklers, one of the best tries I've ever seen.

Not a big man like Billy B but a great player.. Watched Lakey in my early years supporting Wigan and one of my prized autographs is Trevor Lake! RIP.

Saw him a few times including his Wembley try against Hunslet. He couldn't half run...RIP.
